Gardenia Cottage offers high quality holiday accommodation for 2 adults in the beautiful and peaceful village of Overstrand on the north Norfolk coast.
The cottage lies in the heart of the village and is close to all amenities, including a good bus service to local towns and only a few minutes walk to the sandy beaches.
The tiny yet thriving village of Overstrand has its own shop and post office, a pub (The White Horse) which also does a fine dinner and places to breakfast such as the Cliff Top Café with great views over the sea. There's also the Sea Marge Hotel where you can dine or simply take afternoon tea.
Overstrand has a long history as a fishing village and despite its small size has been a popular destination with well known figures such as Winston Churchill and the London journalist and travel writer Clement Scott. In fact, it was Scott who fell in love with the area and gave it its popular name of ‘Poppyland’.
In keeping with its history of fishing, you can buy freshly caught, cooked and prepared crabs and lobsters from a local fisherman’s premises close to the cliff top.
